Paphos is home to the island's second international airport and deemed to be the capital of the west. It is a picturesque fishing town which is steeped in history. It is the mythical birthplace of Aphrodite, Goddess of Love, and is also famous for the remains of the Roman Governor's palace which is home to extensive, fine mosaics.
