Larnaka is the international gateway to Cyprus, being its second port and having an international airport.  It is one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world, and has plenty of historical sightseeing on offer to complement its deep-blue sea, bright sandy beaches and reliably sunny skies.  With its 400-berth marina, Larnaka is also a favoured destination for visitors with yachts.  Land-based tourists enjoy the palm-lined harbor promenade and the city’s international caliber shops, inviting cafes and panoramic Mediterranean views.

Larnaka is an attractive and quiet city which is the same all year round unlike many other areas of Cyprus, which tend to be very busy during the summer months and extremely quiet during the winter.  It is one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world and has plenty of historical sightseeing on offer to complement its deep-blue sea, bright sandy beaches and reliably sunny skies.  Its famous Palm Tree Promenade and marina ensure a picturesque coastline and Larnaka boasts many of the most appealing beaches in Cyprus.  Its central location means that other cities and popular areas of Cyprus are within easy reach – Nicosia, the country’s capital, is less than 60km away, and Limassol and Paphos are approx 65km and 120km distance.

Cyprus

Known as the 'Jewel of the Mediterranean' and famed for its association with Aphrodite - Goddess of Love, Cyprus, is an island of exceptional natural beauty, which extends the warmest of welcomes to its many visitors. The population of Cyprus is approximately 752,000 of Greek origin, but almost 2.7million tourists visit the island each year. Standing at the crossroads of Europe, Asia and Africa at the eastern end of the Mediterranean Sea, Cyprus is the third largest island of all the Mediterranean islands, after Sicily and Sardinia. Its area measures 9,250 square kilometres full of beauty and contrasts from north to south. With its spectacular scenery, beautiful beaches and enviable climate, it's no wonder that Aphrodite chose the island as her birthplace and playground.

From the highest point of Mount Olympus to the coasts and sweeping plains, Cyprus is nature's island. Many wild flowers, trees and plants enjoy the Mediterranean sunshine all year round. Cyprus is also prized for its ornithology and the migratory birds that use the country as a stopover between the seasons.

There is also plenty to see in the mountains. Many of the Byzantine Churches are included in the UNESCO World Heritage list. The charming   mountain villages each have a special crop, craftor product, such as fruits or sweet specialities including palouze, wines, Zivania, rosewater and pottery. The largest and most famous monastery in Cyprus is also located in the mountains of Troodos.

Here in the island's pleasant Mediterranean climate, you can enjoy the refreshing, cool mountain weather during the morning and be at the beautiful, golden beaches by lunchtime.

Cyprus people are warm and traditionally welcoming. Their native language is Greek but English is widely spoken in all shops, restaurants and hotels; in fact just about everywhere. Due to the large numbers of tourism arrivals to the island, Cypriots have learned and speak many other languages. The pace is leisurely, the people kind, helpful and hospitable, always with a warm smile.

Nightlife in Cyprus caters every mood and every age.

There are trendy discos and sophisticated nightclubs, as well as thousands of taverns to choose from all over Cyprus, each one offering a friendly welcome and a relaxed atmosphere. Many offer live bouzouki music and visitors can see how Cypriots enjoy their local songs. 'Kopiaste' someone will say to a complete stranger, meaning, "come and join in, come and share our food, our drink and our fun".

So why wait any longer?  Experience Cyprus for yourself and you will soon realize why so many people fall in love with the island and return time and
time again or buy a house from Cyprus Dream Homes Property Developers – Estate Agents. Cyprus offers
peace of mind!
