Larnaca Areas
Agios Theodoros. Located approximately 25 minutes from Larnaka towards Limassol, Agios Theodoros is a picturesque Cypriot village which has lost none of its charm. It features winding streets lined with brightly coloured flowers and traditional stone built homes. Set amidst rolling hills and pretty countryside, Agios Theodoros is a real haven.
Anafotia. Anafotia is one of the remaining villages that has not lost the traditional Greek way of life but also has all the amenities that you require such as supermarkets, banks, pharmacies, local doctor and schools. It is situated approx 15 minutes drive from Larnaka, five minutes from Mazotos and its famous Camel Park and 10 minutes from the village of Zigi that is renowned for its fantastic fish restaurants. The people are very friendly with quite a mixture of locals and ex-British nationals.
Aradippou. Aradippou is the closest suburb to Larnaka. There are all necessary amenities in the area such as schools (including the private English-speaking Pascalls School), supermarkets, shops, restaurants, tavernas, bars, banks, pharmacies and bakeries. It is a five minute drive to the centre of Larnaka.
Ayia Anna. Ayia Anna is a charming Cypriot village set in the countryside on the outskirts of Larnaka. It has traditional winding roads and picturesque stone built houses. It has all amenities, such as shops, supermarkets, restaurants, cafes, banks, pharmacies and bakeries. It is approximately 15/20 minutes drive from Larnaka town centre.
Chrysopolitissa. Chrysopolitissa is located on the edge of Larnaka town centre the main shopping area is a couple of minutes walk. It is five minutes from a major supermarket and has schools, shops, bakeries and churches in the immediate vicinity.
Drosia. Drosia is one of the more popular and exclusive locations within Larnaka. Consisting predominantly of houses and few apartment buildings, it is quiet and residential area. Larnaka town centre is approximately 10 minutes walk.
Faneromeni. Faneromeni is the most prestigious residential area in Larnaka. It has all necessary amenities such as restaurants, shops, supermarkets, banks, bakeries and pharmacies, and is within a couple of minutes drive of the centre of Larnaka.
Kamares. Famous for its disused aqueduct or 'Kamares Arches', Kamares is located on the outskirts of Larnaka towards Limassol. It has an array of shops, supermarkets, restaurants, banks and pharmacies. It is less than five minutes drive to Larnaka town centre.
Kiti. Kiti is a small, attractive village on the outskirts of Larnaka, approximately 15 minutes from the town centre and five minutes from Larnaka International Airport. It is home to a range of restaurants, bars, local supermarkets, clothes and shoe shops, churches, bakeries, pharmacies and banks. Kiti Beach stretches for several kilometers yet is less discovered than other beaches in Larnaka and so is always quiet, even in the height of summer.
Larnaka-Dhekelia Road. Thanks to its stunning beach, sporting activities and facilities such as water sports, gyms and indoor swimming pools and its close proximity to the town centre, the Larnaka-Dhekelia Road is the most sought-after area of Larnaka District. The area plays host to a wide variety of restaurants, bars and cafes, exclusive shops and boutiques as well as numerous amenities including supermarkets, pharmacies, banks and bakeries.
Mackenzie. Mackenzie is the closest beach area to Larnaka town centre. This area is very popular, particularly for holiday homes, and properties for sale here are few and far between. It is home to a wide range of tavernas and ice-cream parlours and is particularly famous for its fish restaurants. Other amenities, such as supermarkets, health clubs, banks and pharmacies, are also within the vicinity.
Maroni. Nestled into the hillside with views stretching across the rolling countryside to the sea, Maroni is a charming Cypriot village. Traditional homes, cafes and shops line the windy streets creating a picturesque scene. It is within a few minutes drive to Zygi which is home to a range of shops, restaurants and cafes, 10 minute drive to the beach, 15/20 minutes to Kiti and Pervolia and 25/30 minutes from Larnaka town centre.
Mazotos. Mazotos is a quiet, attractive village approximately 15 minutes drive from Larnaka town centre. The village centre is only a five minute drive from the coast. It is set in the countryside and, despite having modern shops and restaurants, has retained traditional Cypriot allure.
Meneou. Meneou is small village situated approximately 10km west of Larnaka and 5km from Larnaka International Airport. It is also within walking distance of the beach. It has a handful of shops but you would need to venture to the neighbouring villages of Kiti and Pervolia (1km and 4km respectively) for a more extensive range of shops and restaurants.
Oroklini. The largest village on the outskirts of Larnaka, Oroklini is home to a large ex-pat community. The village offers a wide range of restaurants, cafes and tavernas as well as local amenities including shops, pharmacies, banks, bakeries and flower shops. It is just 1.5km from the most attractive beach in Larnaka District and is approximately 15 minutes drive from Larnaka town centre.
Pervolia. Pervolia is an idyllic, relaxed, seaside village just 10km from Larnaka. The paved village centre is home to a traditional church and an array of charming and traditional restaurants and tavernas. It is free from heavy traffic and noisy nightclubs and offers the privilege of long walks and sports along the extensive beach.
Psematismenos. Located mid-way between Larnaka and Limassol, Psematismenos is set on a hilltop and affords spectacular views. With traditional tavernas and cafes, Psematismenos provides a snapshot of traditional Cypriot life.
Pyla. Pyla is a very friendly village and remains as it was before the war of 1974 with Greek and Turkish Cypriots living side-by-side. It neighbours the large village of Oroklini and is a few minutes drive from the Larnaka-Dhekelia Road.
Pyrga. Pyrga is a very picturesque village in the Cypriot countryside and is a 20 minute drive from Larnaka. It is ideal for those who are looking for a quiet and peaceful place to stay and enjoy the beauty of breathtaking surroundings.
Scarinou. Scarinou is located approximately 20 minutes drive from Larnaka towards Limassol. Situated on an elevated position, the village affords stunning countryside views. A traditional village, all amenities required for day-to-day living are in the vicinity.
Tersefanou. Tersefanou is a growing village on the outskirts of Larnaka, between Kiti and Mazotos, and is soon to be home to a brand new golf course and complex. It is approximately 15 minutes drive from Larnaka town centre.
Troulli. Troulli is a countryside village on the outskirts of Larnaka set within beautiful rolling hills. In the village you will find all necessary amenities, such as supermarkets, banks and restaurants. It is a 15 minute drive to Larnaka's town centre.
Vergina. Vergina is an up-and-coming suburb of Larnaka. Conveniently located close to the highway to Limassol and near the Cineplex, it is approximately five minutes drive to Larnaka town centre. It has a couple of large supermarkets and is very close to Kamares which has all amenities and facilities.
Xylophagou. Xylophagou is a countryside village located between Larnaka and Ayia Napa which are 20 minutes and 25 minutes drive respectively. All amenities, such as schools, shops, supermarkets, doctors, pharmacies, bakeries and banks are in the area.
